Document Translator Opportunities

Applicant Requirements

• Oral and written proficiency in English and the target language(s).
• At least one year of experience interpreting within the medical industry.
• Professional academic education related to translating
• Professional affiliations (preferably ATA)
• Strict adherence to Pacific Interpreter's Interpreter Code of Ethics, Standards of Behavior, and Confidentiality Pledge.
• All candidates must have U.S. citizenship or possess a valid work permit.
• All candidates must pass a criminal background check prior to being contracted with Pacific Interpreters.
• Internet access, e-mail, and fax.

Hiring Process

• Visit our job opportunities page and complete the application. A complete application packet will be sent to you by mail or e-mail.
• Once your application is received by our Recruitment Department, you will be contacted for a brief interview within three business days.
• You will be contacted to do a 30–50 minute language test by phone in your target language. The test will cover medical terminology and Professional Interpreter Standards.
• You will be mailed an orientation packet and contracts.
• We will contact you to join an Orientation by phone. Each orientation takes 90 minutes.
